Happy Wednesday y’all! Today I wanted to switch it up a bit since I’ve been so MIA over the last few weeks with work heating up, but now that we’re one day away from summer and the heat is definitely ON, I thought there would be no time like the present to share my NYC Summer 2018 Bucket List! Taking some inspo from Katie’s Bliss post HERE, I’ve decided to round up a few things that I plan to do this summer in New York – especially since I’ve spent the last five weeks traveling every weekend!
Before we get into my bucket list, let’s talk how perfect this outfit is for Fourth of July. I’ll actually be in Mexico, but this crop top will definitely make an appearance with a high waisted white denim skirt. The navy/white gingham is so cute, and I’m obsessed with these high waisted jeans that I recently got from ASOS. It’s such a simple, casual look but would be so perfect for your trip to the lake/boat/anywhere warm really! What do y’all think? Now onto the fun stuff!
Do a boozy-brunch cruise on the Hudson River. Something my friends did for Fourth of July while we were interning, this is easily one of the best ways to view all of the city at once! I haven’t been on the water in awhile, nor have I seen the full skyline recently so I would love to do a brunch cruise with friends while the water is nice.
Do a Pool-Day pass at the McCarren Hotel in Brooklyn. Believe it or not, there are actually a ton of ways to find a pool in NYC. Hotels tend to offer day passes (while some are outrageously priced). I would love to venture to Brooklyn and spend a day soaking up the sun at the pool this summer.
Kayak on the Hudson River. Are you seeing a trend?! Everything is nearly water related! Fun fact: you can kayak for free on the Hudson River and I think it would be so fun! My friends did it while they were out here interning, so it’s definitely something I want to try.
Visit a vineyard in the Hamptons/Long Island. While I know this isn’t technically New York City, it’s definitely something I want to cross off my bucket list ASAP! There are quite a few vineyards a hop, skip & train ride away so it’s something we’re looking into.
Explore Central Park past 80th street. Believe it or not, I don’t think I’ve ever ventured above the 80’s and the park in general goes so far! I think I went to the botanical gardens years ago, but I definitely want to spend a day just exploring up there and seeing what we find.
