Happy Thursday y’all, and welcome back here. I’ve been taking a lot of time off due to stress level and workload in my personal day-to-day, but I’m excited to be kicking off some new content by sharing an updated Hair Health post. This past week, I had the pleasure of spending three days with a lovely hair care client at work, and I feel like I learned so much more about what would help my hair texture and type – especially when I find myself between trips to the salon. Full disclosure, I don’t get my hair done in New York which I feel like I’ve mentioned before. I go back to Houston and see Jennifer Saenz at Oasis Salon and Medi Spa, and it also gives me an excuse to go home! My trip a few weeks ago was post-poned due to last minute work schedules, so I won’t be heading back until April. In the meantime, I wanted to share what has helped my hair maintain more of a blonde shine while I’m in between those visits, and can help you too! You can read my original post HERE.
What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
1. Framesi Color Lover Purple Shampoo. All blondes know to use a purple shampoo, but this specific Framesi one is so intense that sometimes I wind up not being able to get the purple completely out of my hair. It really does help my hair look bright and blonde, and every time I use it I let it sit for a bit to really pull out additional brassiness.
2. Kenra Platinum Luxe Shine System. A two-part shampoo/conditioner that’s infused with gold to help your hair really shine. It has a super luxurious feel and lather, and really helps add that sparkle to blondes.
3. Kenra Platinum Deep Detox Scrub. This charcoal infused scrub has little microbeads to really get all of that product out. Since my purple shampoo sometimes leaves a residue, this is the perfect product to strip it of that. It also helps my hair look brighter and cleaner, hence blonder.
4. Biolage 3 Butter Control Mask. A mask that really helps with my ends when they near that next haircut. I typically lather the ends, throw my hair in a bun and sleep with it.
5. Batiste Dry Shampoo. My favorite dry shampoo of all time, this powerful shampoo helps my roots look lighter and allows me to go longer without washing to avoid stripping any of the color I already have. Not to mention it smells amazing!
