Happy Tuesday y’all! I can’t believe I’m writing this post in the middle of everything, but it’s time to gear up for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! A little later than normal this year, this sale is one of the best sales every year from one of everyone’s favorite department stores. I try to cover as best as possible every year, but this year I plan to do it in a reasonable way – only purchasing items I will use more than once and in a strategic manner (hello so many fab beauty sets on sale!). The greatest part about the #NSale is that these are new season items created specifically for Nordstrom. Designers curate their items for Nordstrom so you won’t find these anywhere else (sometimes similar but not quite).

Tuesday August 4-18, 2020 | Early access begins at 9:30 AM ET for Nordstrom credit cardholders
Tuesday August 18, 2020 | Last day of early access for cardholders
Wednesday August 19, 2020 | The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale opens to the general public
Sunday August 30, 2020 | Last day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale!
Monday August 31, 2020 | The Nordstrom Anniversary sale ends and all items go back up to full price
Ways to shop early:
1. Apply for a Nordstrom Card (even create a joint account with a friend or family member). My mom and I share an account so I always have quick access and shop heavily the first day, then go back for more.
2. Go in with an idea of the amount you want to spend and items you’re looking for. This sale can be so overwhelming but it’s really great that there’s such a long preview this year so you can file away items you really want and sift through things you may want now but not want by the time you have access to the sale.
3. Know that if you aren’t one of the first tiers with access that items will either restock or be returned in the coming weeks so it’s not a lost cause! I can already tell there are a few things like cardigans or casual dresses that all influencers will buy first thing and will be sold out by the time consumers are granted access.

This year my goal is to only get items that will benefit me in the long run. Last year I tried this with a few impulse purchases, but now that we’re in COVID days, I’m not back in New York yet, people are purchasing less than normal and I won’t be returning to an office for the remainder of the year it needs to be done with thought! What I’m going to be shopping includes:
Active wear/Sports bras for working from home. I’ve mentioned that I love loungewear, but really I’ve been loving activewear that doubles as loungewear – especially comfortable sports bras. There are so many cute options this year from great brands like All and Beyond Yoga. Perfect for support!
New bras. Something I always snag during the sale!
Beauty sets. Are you surprised? This is one of the best times to get more beauty bang for your buck with these exclusive sets – especially candles!
Comfy PJS! Similar to the activewear to work from home in, I actually always snag a pair or two of PJs during the #Nsale.
A large bag that will fit my laptop, my camera and my camera tripod. I’m on the hunt for a big bag (honestly even duffle sized) for when I get back in the city so I can always bring my camera and tripod along. Now that I’ve gotten used to taking photos myself I feel like I can start to maneuver it in the city to some extent.
