Navy and White

A very large portion of my wardrobe revolves around comfort. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll squeeze my size 8 foot into a pair of 6’s every now and then if the shoe and price is right, but the majority of the time I enjoy soft, easy and comfortable pieces.
This dress from Obsession Boutique hits the nail on the head! The cotton dress is so light that you’ll forget that you’re in 90 degree weather. The loose fit of the dress allows it to be a little breezier, and what’s more perfect than a breezy summer dress? Nothing, right? The navy and white stripes automatically give off a nautical feel, and can easily be dressed up with a pair of white lace wedges or dressed down with sandals. I’ve already gotten quite a few good wears out of this dress from trekking all over Brooklyn to touring Central Park with my grandparents. This dress would also make an adorable beach cover up, or work attire with a cream blazer. I’m not kidding when I say the opportunities are endless!
For a nautical, casual look I paired the dress with a few of my recent favorite accessories; my starfish cuff, my Tory Burch espadrilles, my monogran Stacy Brown Designs bangle and my white rope statement necklace. These shoes are seriously the best. I throw them down in my bag to change into whenever my feet start giving out on me after a long day. I went down a size in these (because my size was sold out and they were on sale, told you I would do it), but they are still as comfortable as can be! Espadrilles have been catching my eye recently after a co-worker came in with the Chanel ones. Next purchase… Mom are you reading this?!
