Happy Wednesday y’all! Man am I always so glad to see Wednesday when it rolls back around, but in this weeks case I’m more stressed now that it’s here! I have so much to do over the next week and a half to end my junior year. In light of having to constantly run around like a chicken with my head cut off, I’ve found a new, comfy alternative to sweatpants; insert culottes. Do you remember about nine years ago when gauchos were a thing (may they RIP and never return)?! Well culottes are essentially the same thing only one hundred times chicer. They’re structured, sophisticated and have a bit of a feminine flair all while remaining comfortable and functional of day-to-day activities. When I think of culottes I think of a #girlboss running around the office in a structured printed pair with a cropped top and blazer. They remind me of the types of ads you see in editorial aspects, but can easily be worn everyday by a college girl like me! The best part about this yellow pair? They’re on sale for under $17! That’s basically a steal, but they won’t last long so hurry fast!
I paired my culottes with a fun fringe top, even more appropriate for spring/summer. This top is always my go-to when the weather gets warmer. It has an open back and is an extremely lightweight chiffon fabric, you can barely tell it’s there! I always struggle when pairing it with bottoms though. I don’t ever want the trim or cut to overpower the look, and usually I run to my favorite cut off shorts and sandals, but this top would also work perfectly with a maxi skirt or pair of palazzos. I added a turquoise necklace to mix in an accent color and paired my favorite sandals and ear jackets with it. This just screams spring! What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!

My eyes are peeled for culottes, which I expect will stay very fringe. Have you ever worn culottes, and do you think that you would wear them again?
