Happy Friday y’all! This weekend is the very last weekend of my junior year! Next week is officially finals week and then I’ll head back to Houston next weekend to try and completely pack up my life and move to New York. By now everyone has heard of the Lilly Pulitzer for Target collection and if you were lucky enough you snagged some goodies on the launch or the pop-up before it launched! Unfortunately, I went to my Target in Norman and the racks were completely empty… Being a southern sorority girl I’ve always had a love for Lilly, and don’t even get me started on my love for Target, but I was shocked to see that in Norman, Oklahoma everything was sold out. I went back to Target a few weeks later to look for a swimsuit for a day date party and while I was waiting on a friend in the fitting room the fitting room assistant pulled out this bright green printed jumpsuit, looked at me and said it’s a medium. She then pulled out a pair of navy and white printed shorts with white trim, also a medium. I took the pieces to try on and found a perfect fit-a match made in heaven! Don’t you love when things like that happen?
Honestly I’ve never been a fan of jumpsuits. I’m 5’10 and have a hard time fitting into rompers in general, but I have wider hips and always think I look like a pear whenever I wear jumpsuits. To my surprise, when I tried this one on I fell in love immediately. The synched waist helps give some shape, and distracts from my hips. I may now be a believer and what perfect timing because this would be so comfortable for work with a white blazer! Because the green is so bright I wanted to add a pop of color for a bit of extra spring feel. I love green and pink together, so a pink tassel necklace and my pink gucci just seemed appropriate! This would be great for dinner with friends, but comfortable enough for those days where you have a million things to do. What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
