Happy Monday y’all! Today is my first day as an intern at Cosmopolitan in New York! I spent all day Sunday traveling (after a delayed flight, of course) and spent the evening portion of the day running around with my friend Caitlyn in Astoria and the rest of the city. It is so crazy that I’m already back, where did the time go?! I don’t move into my apartment until next Monday, so I’m currently couch crashing-thank you Caitlyn if you’re reading this ily-but I can’t wait to fully get settled in and to start taking pictures around the city! Wish me luck with the first day, I am so excited!
A little background information on my ‘professional’ life so far: Last summer I interned at a Marc Fisher Footwear LLC, a shoe licensing company, in their PR department doing the PR for Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, G by Guess, Ivanka Trump, Isaac Mizrahi, Sigerson Morrison, Belle by Sigerson, Marc Fisher and Pink & Pepper. Through this internship I dealt with press sample requests and returns for multiple different press outlets, helped implement a new and improved blogger program and did day-to-day intern work like showroom maintenance and assisting on photo shoots. This summer I will be interning as an accessories intern for Cosmopolitan and Seventeen Magazine. I’ll be doing similar to what I did last summer, but in an entirely new way! I’m mostly excited for the experience, but I can’t wait to see what goes on in the office! I follow Cosmo on twitter, and it seems like such a fun environment and people are always dropping in to the headquarters. I can’t express how amazing this opportunity is for me and how excited I am! I love dresses that have more structure to them, and this ruffle dress is exactly that! I love ruffles, always have always will, but the way that these ruffles hit the sides as opposed to a sleeve or neckline is so different! I love a neutral color so this one was perfect (it also comes in black)! The best part is this dress is under $35! It’s perfect to wear for a nice brunch or night out! You know it’s spring/summer when I start accenting with pink, and I love my fish hook choker from Bauble Bar. I was obsessed with my gold one so having it in pink makes it that much more fun.
