Happy Monday y’all! The only thing getting me through this holiday week is knowing that we have a half day Wednesday and then Thursday and Friday off. This past weekend my whole family came to the city, and we tried making the most of the visit with the awful weather we had. It was nearly 60 degrees and raining everyday! It felt like winter in Houston.Saturday we went to brunch at Tavern on the Green in Central Park, one of our favorites, and took a quick stroll after before my brother and Dad went to the 9/11 memorial.
This dress is the ultimate Fourth of July dress. It’s the right colors, lightweight and casual, but easily able to be dressed up. It would work at a barbecue with a pair of gladiators, as a beach cover up or for a night out watching the fireworks with a pair of wedges. I’ve worn this number a few times already and can’t get enough of it. I do recommended washing it first, as the embroidery detailing can be a little itchy. The best part? It’s available in white or navy! The white dress definitely requires a slip underneath, but it’s so lightweight it’s perfect for these hot summer days. I knew we would be doing a ton of walking so I paired it with my favorite sandals and new sunnies. What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
