Happy Wednesday y’all! This Saturday marks the beginning of the most wonderful time of the year-football season! I was Sooner born and Sooner bred, so you could easily say I bleed crimson and cream. My favorite part about football season is definitely the outfits (close second is tailgating!). I love seeing everyone’s different styles and being in the south definitely has game day feeling like it’s a runway show. During the first few games I gravitate towards easy, breezy dresses. One of my biggest secrets is shopping in the slip section at Free People! The dresses can be worn with a slip and are so comfortable for the hot temperatures and long days or standing around crowds of people.
Here in the south we wear cowboy boots on game days as opposed to sandals or converse like other schools. I remember my Cosmo friends were shocked that I even owned cowboy boots let alone owning four different pairs! I typically wear my OU boots for game day to really show my Sooner pride. When games start to get cooler I’ll switch to riding boots or booties, and how perfect are these fringe pair? They have the ight amount of heel for a day of walking around. Kendra Scott is all the rage on college campuses. Danielle earrings are the best way to add color to your game day look, I typically like wearing my turquoise ones for games! Usually I’m accenting with turquoise accessories but occasionally I’ll throw in some extra crimson into the mix, especially with super cute tassel earrings like these Bauble Bar ones! My mom and I ordered them as soon as they were online and I immediately shared them to my sorority Facebook wall! Monogram necklaces are a great way to add a bit of prep into your look, especially if you’re a part of greek life but have restrictions against wearing your letters at certain events. This acrylic monogram is in the perfect shade of ivory for Oklahoma (as well as Texas, LSU, Miami, honestly every school-white goes with anything!). I’m beyond excited for the first game day and can’t wait to share what I’ll be wearing! Have a great day and thanks for reading!

I definitely need to send this post to one of my friends who bleeds crimson. I personally am a Tarheel fan but love your picks!
Oh my gosh, this makes me miss being in undergrad and attending tailgates and games.
I definitely still attend games as an alum but it’s not the same!
Cute picks ๐

Yes yes yes! The reason I went to school in the south was for football – when the tour guide said “girls in pearls, guys in ties” I was sold. Love your picks girl!

I think I would have attended more school games if the attire was this cute. Love your dress selections!
What a great post! I love your picks. This makes me miss getting all dressed up for game days- I loved wearing my sundresses and boots for games as well! I feel like I would get funny looks going to the alumni viewing parties if I still dressed like a student! I’d love to see some of your game day outfits in future posts!
I really like the crimson dress that you picked out. Crimson and cream = the colours similar to my alma mater! Football isn’t too big where I’m from (Canada) – but I have never actually attended a game. They sound so fun!

My alma mater recently reinstated their football program, so I can’t wait to stock up on blue and gold goodies! I’ll have to check and see what other colors your picks come in ๐
