Happy Friday y’all! In honor of being in Dallas for OU/TX weekend I wanted to do a little bit of a different post and explain why I love my school so much. Most people are shocked when they discover I attend school in middle-of-nowehere Oklahoma, but the truth is this school was made for me. Both my parents went to the University of Oklahoma where my Dad began his medical journey and my Mom studied fashion marketing. Growing up, I attended OU/TX games numerous of times, ventured down to Campus Corner and lived and breathed “I’m Sooner born and Sooner bred.” A few years back OU got rid of their fashion program, which meant I would have to sacrifice a big thing in order to attend here-my dream career. What I didn’t realize was that OU was really pushing me towards a more stable direction that I would love even more. I always dreamed of being a buyer, but without the public relations program at OU I never would have considered editorial work or PR, and boy am I glad that I did.

So in honor of one of the biggest weekends of the OU school year (we even get Friday off to go to Dallas early), I wanted to share a southern style game day worthy look. While temps are cooler in Norman, they definitely aren’t in Dallas so I’m packing this fringe crop top to pair with red jeans for the game. During prime summer months I would pair it with cut-offs like shown, and of course my red OU cowboy boots. I always add turquoise for game day, so this Kendra Scott Rayne necklace is a must for football season. I hope everyone has a great weekend!
