Happy Friday y’all! I’m currently writing todays post from a billion feet in the air as I head back to Houston for a quick weekend trip. I haven’t been home in about three months, and my roots are looking ombre almost at this point! I’m too scared to test out someone new, so my mom figured I could just make a trip out of it! Yes, that is an extreme diva move, but you gotta do what you gotta do right?! I’m excited to get a weekend away from the city, but I’m mainly excited to get as much Mexican food as possible within the next 72 hours! In other exciting news, I just accepted my very first big girl job! I’ll be a working fashion PR gal in the next 10 days and I am so excited for this next chapter of my life! Experiencing blogging full time has been great, but I’ve always wanted to be a career woman first, blogger second, and now I’m able to do just that!

Who doesn’t love an easy-going, casual outfit? One of my most frequented items in my closet is my DIY jean shorts that I made out of a pair of men’s jeans from Walmart for spring break my freshman year, mainly because they’re so easy to just throw on and go and remain comfortable. During the week this summer I’ve been wearing comfy tees and jean shorts to run my errands and get things done during the day, and when I saw this sequin tee with flamingo’s on it I knew it needed to make an appearance in my closet. This tee is so soft, and let’s be real who doesn’t love flamingos?! These Adidas sneakers have been on repeat when it comes to weekend wondering. It took a couple of days to break them in, but once I did they immediately became my go-to shoe. They’re seriously so comfortable! It’s almost like they’re extra cushioned or something. What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
