Happy Wednesday y’all! It’s been rainy in the city over the last couple of days and MAN is it killing my mood. Tonight is supposed to be the tree lighting in Rockefeller center so I hope that the rain stays away and the weather can decide to act accordingly! With temperatures cooling down and being in a new type of climate than I’m used to I wanted to talk about my skin routine today with y’all. My skin has always been weird. It dries out easily and I had pretty bad acne while I was in my awkward preteen stages. My dad is a cosmetic surgeon so I grew up trying nearly each and everything to clear my skin from peels to dermabrasion’s until I could find what would stick. The thing that always worked amazing from a pretty early age was the micro-dermabrasion. Essentially, a micro dermabrasion exfoliates your skin and gets rid of the dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling softs and refreshed. When I moved out for college I had to stop getting them as often because it’s not something I can really afford on my budget to indulge in (#20somethingprobs). Insert: Silk’n ReVit, an at-home micro dermabrasion kit with vacuum stimulation.

ReVit is a small device that you plug into your outlet at home and start using on your skin. The tip removes dead skin cells, and the vacuum action sucks them in. The dead skin cells from exfoliation are trapped inside an easily interchangeable filter, so you don’t have to worry about mess or ordering new tips. You treat each area on your face for approximately five minutes and have to remember to always keep moving or else you get little red spots! I use my ReVit after I wash my face; it only takes about 13 minutes for me depending on my trouble areas that week. I try to use my ReVit every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday to remain consistent. It keeps my skin glowing and feeling extra clean, something that’s great right now because this weather is drying out my face like crazy so I have tons of peeling skin on my chin, nose and trouble spots. It has three interchangeable tips which is great for trouble spots. The precision tip is for smaller areas (I use this on sensitive areas the tip of my nose), the fine tip for a more gentle treatment (great when your skin is having a “good skin” week), and coarse tip for heavy duty exfoliations (what I’m using now since I have so much dried out skin). The ReVit is a perfect option for someone like me that is willing to do anything for clear skin, but doesn’t want to end up with empty pockets afterward. The ReVit is sold at Bath & Body Works, Kohls, Ulta and select Target locations. The ReVit retails for under $100, making it the perfect holiday gift for any beauty junkie you know! Even better news? Silk’n is offering 15% off until the end of the year with the code: SIlknTalk at check out- but you can see more of their products here. What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
