Happy Tuesday y’all! A four day overdue post here, but finally getting around to sharing what I’m buying from this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! To be completely transparent, I was a little underwhelmed with the sale this year. A lot of the items were very basic and in my opinion not necessarily worth it/practical for city life. I DID purchase a handful of things because last year during fall/winter I made note of items I knew I would need next year.

Short Jackets. This was major during early fall and early spring. Where it’s not cold enough to wear a puffer coat anymore, you don’t want to lug around a big coat to bars, but it’s chilly enough that you need something to help ya out. I lost my leather jacket I’ve had for years last year, so I stocked up on some short jackets this year.

A new suitcase. My suitcase after Mexico was toast, so I’m picking up a new suitcase that is definitely more sturdy and chic than my old one was. I think that may be what I’m most excited about!

Shoes. One of the best parts of the sale is always the shoes you can get majorly discounted. I always pick up a pair of booties that I essentially tear up by the end of fall because they turn into my go-to. This year, there are tons of different loafers and flats on sale for under $50 that are perfect to pick up.

Things you can wear now. I did notice this year that there are a ton of items that are sleeveless jumpsuits, mules, etc. that can be worn now. Most of what I picked up was items I could wear in the scorching hot city, in addition to those I noted I needed for the colder months.
