Happy Wednesday y’all! Today I’m so excited to be teaming up with my friends at Nestle and SKINNY COW® (and also having a special guest appearance) to show you how to spend the perfect girl’s night in in the city this summer! Let’s face it, New York gets steaming hot in the summer. Right now it’s upwards of 90 degrees daily and the sun really beats down, but the worst part is most places in NYC don’t blast their air conditioning so it really can get unbearable. Insert the easiest solution: staying indoors in the chilliness of your own apartment, making fun ice cream sandwiches with SKINNY COW® Cookies & Cream (Oh Fudge Cookie) ice cream sandwiches.
Let’s face it, I’m a sucker for ice cream year round, and my best friend Nikki and I definitely frequent local ice cream and soft serve places around the midtown Manhattan area. When it comes to the summer in the city, your life is definitely meant to be lived and that’s a key aspect that SKINNY COW® aligns with. I’ve always been a fan of dessert first, whether it’s right when you get home from work or even in the morning on a hot weekend because dessert should never be passed up! SKINNY COW® is a brand that I grew up with enjoying with my mom, so it’s so fun to enjoy it with my friends as we quickly near our mid-twenties (gasp). SKINNY COW® is indulgent, delicious ice cream/dessert products packaged in reasonable portions to optimize your dessert experience without the guilt. They have so many craving conquering options to choose from! Creating your own ice cream sandwich is so easy and fun! See below for details:
Ingredients:
-SKINNY COW® Cookies & Cream (Oh Fudge Cookie) ice cream sandwiches
-Rainbow snow cap candies
-Chocolate chips
-Sliced almonds
-Hard shell chocolate candies
-Assorted sprinkles
Instructions:
1. Pour about half a cup of each garnish onto a plate that’s longer
2. Unwrap your ice cream sandwich while it’s nice and frozen
3. Roll the ice cream part in the garnish of your choice, coating the ice cream completely
4. Enjoy and start over with another garnish!
The best part about creating your own ice cream sandwich creations is that you don’t need to be celebrating something to do so! Nikki and I created ours on a Summer Friday to kick off our weekend on the right note during the summer. I also stocked up on SKINNY COW® Truffle Bar, an easy snacking bar for weeknights when you want something chocolatey, at a local Ahold Stop & Shop. What do y’all think? Have a great day and thanks for reading!
