Happy Friday y’all! I’m heading to Belmar, New Jersey this weekend for a fun-filled beach weekend but before I go bask in the sun I wanted to share one of the most important posts in the middle of the summer – a big update on the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale SPECIFICALLY if you live in New York right now. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of the biggest sales of the year that the department store has, and it’s the perfect opportunity to shop new fall pieces at a great price, as well as beauty exclusives.

If you aren’t familiar with the Nordstrom Sale AKA #NSale, it’s essentially one of the largest department store sales you’ll find in the calendar year. Each year, Nordstrom brings in high-quality, top-tier designer products and cuts them down for a fraction of the price. Most of these items are sale-specific, so you won’t necessarily have the chance to shop them once fall does hit. I don’t usually shop many department store sales throughout the year because there are so many to keep up with, but I’ll always be an avid shopper of the #NSale.

Now the good stuff, if you live in New York City where the Nordstrom flagship is only a few mere months away… This year, if you live in the New York area like I do and have a Nordstrom credit card you can shop the sale EXCLUSIVELY for pre-order June 27th – 30th, and pick up on July 11th at a location in Midtown for a celebratory pick-up party. Yesterday I scoured the website for my favorites and was actually able to place my order for so many cute pieces already!

Early Access to the sale.
In order to shop the sale as early as possible, you’ll need a Nordstrom credit card to be a member of the Nordy Club. They have both a Visa and Retail option for the card, and both allow you to earn 3 points per dollar spent in stores and online at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, HauteLook and Trunk Club. Right now if you sign up for a Nordstrom card you’ll receive 60 Nordstrom Notes to apply towards your purchase (AKA a good chunk of change towards your Anniversary Sale order!).

Nordstrom also offers free shipping and returns, and hands down has the best customer service in the biz.

Public Access for the sale.
The sale opens publicly on July 19th, and goes through the beginning of August. Honestly, a good portion of the time some of the best-sellers will have sold out during the pre-sale so I definitely recommend trying to get access if possible!

The best items to stock up on during the sale (especially if you’re on a budget like I am):
-Fall items. I always take note at the end of winter if I need some sort of new coat in the mix and wait for the NSale to snag one. Last year, I got a gorgeous lavender teddy coat that was great through spring.

-Boots/Booties. I typically find my “die-hard” pair of fall boots/booties in the NSale. I noticed my favorite OTK boots are a fraction of the price this year, so I’ll be rebuying these since mine officially are in the donate pile.

-Beauty exclusives/sets. Nordstrom offers a ton of great sets at discounted rate during the sale and it’s the perfect opportunity to stock up on some of your favorite beauty buys or try out a new brand you’ve been eyeing. For me, I’m eyeing this Kopari travel set.

-Basics you’ll need year-round. Whether that be a new cardigan for work, a few pair of your favorite brand jeans, a new well-fitting bra, or some new running shoes/athletic sneakers, this truly is the best time to buy and save the most.
