Happy Wednesday y’all and BIG day over here because well happy birthday to me! Today marks a big one turning 26 and it really doesn’t feel like the time should already be here to celebrate another trip around the sun. I have an event for a client at work today/tomorrow, so today I’m running around the city with my client going to different publications to unveil new product launches for the year. Probably the best way to spend a birthday if you have to work! I’ll admit, it’s weird to say out loud that I’m 26. I’m closer to 30 than I am 20, I am officially in my mid-to-late twenties instead of my early twenties. Realistically, if I wanted to be married by 30 I’d have to find my soulmate tomorrow… lol.

In all seriousness, it’s a crazy thing to say out loud and even crazier to look back and see how much has changed since turning 25 on year ago. So for today’s birthday post, I wanted to round up 26 things you may not know about me! I went back and forth on the style of post I wanted to do today and ultimately decided it should be fun and lite! Have a great day y’all and thanks for reading!

1. I was a premi born 3 months early! I weighed 2lbs 9oz and now I’m 5’10!!

2. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma – my parents Alma Mater – and was an Alpha Chi Omega there.

3. I danced competitively for about 16 years before college. During competition season I’d have anywhere from 8-14 dances a day.

4. I’m a full time beauty publicist (and finally feel confident saying I’m ACTUALLY a publicist after four years). I work at mml pr as a Senior Account Executive and have been here for three years.

5. I moved to New York three days after graduation, without a full time job. I freelanced for ASOS for three months before landing something 9-5.

6. I’ve lived in the same building for nearly 4 years and just re-signed my lease! I lived in a smaller unit for two years before I found my gem.

7. I interned in fashion and worked full-time in fashion pr for a year before I switched to beauty and never looked back! I interned at Marc Fisher Footwear, Cosmopolitan/Seventeen Mag, rewardStyle and ASOS.

8. I’m originally from Houston, Texas but hardly have any accent anymore!

9. I’m the type of person who runs off of emotions completely. They literally control my day and the smallest thing can set me off (hello temperamental).

10. I only have one sibling, an older brother that is a chef at Herb Saint in New Orleans!

11. My favorite color is pink… obvi.

12. While I work on all sorts of beauty accounts, what fascinates me most are skin/hair products. I always love testing new items and seeing how things react for me.

13. I actually don’t take advantage of #bloggerperks as much as I should! Even most of the products I try/share are ones I’ve purchase. You can bet I’ll always be authentic over here.

14. I’ve been blogging since sophomore year of college! It’s taken quite the turn from the fashion blog it was, but it keeps me busy that’s for sure.

15. I’m overly caffeinated and require lots of Diet Coke.

16. If I could choose anywhere to live (at the moment) I would pick Barcelona. A slower way of life with so much culture.

17. I function on close to no sleep, surprisingly. I can’t sleep in on weekends nor get to sleep on weeknights.

18. I am very single but it doesn’t bother me, HOWEVER, I keep promising more dating content here so I’m workin’ on it!!

19. I may be rapidly approaching 30, but I love a good time and definitely still have fun.

20. I’m a big EDM gal and love going to festivals/Brooklyn Mirage/raves (lol) with my pal Nikki.

21. My family goes to Mexico for Christmas every year and it’s one of my favorite traditions.

22. I value friendships and people more than a normal person would and my friendships are VERY important to me. I tend to expect more out of those I’m closest with and value their friendship more like a relationship.

23. I have a very IDGAF attitude, but I actually get so unreasonably stressed/flustered and thrive on pressure.

24. I’m a huge sweet tooth person. Always have to have chocolate in my fridge!

25. My dream vacay would be to the Maldives or some place with an ocean hut and slide from your bedroom door!

26. I have zero clue what big thing is next but I feel something brewin’! Thanks for always supporting this corner of the internet, y’all!
