Happy Wednesday y’all! Now that we’re fully in February (helloooo birthday month!), I wanted to take today’s post to share a Valentine’s Day Guide for New York things! Whether you’re single or not, the world has deemed this holiday as a reason to get out and do something ~fancy~ and because I’ll be in the city this year, I wanted to share a few fun options/recommendations regardless of who you’ll be spending the made-up-holiday with.
Rounding up my options below! Would love to hear what y’all think. Have a great day and thanks for reading!
Shop my #VDay Outfit + the comfiest jumpsuit ever!
For the singles…
1. Ladies, just go to 310 Bowery. The spot where the guys flock, it’s sure to be a good time after a few Vodka Sodas.
2. Go to a thematic night out at House of Yes. I mean go big or go home, right? A fun excuse to get decked out in a fun outfit and dance the night away.
3. Have a sing-along piano night at Duplex. One of my favorite spots that never lets me down, good for groups!
For the couples…
1. Get a couples massage at AIRE Ancient Baths. A luxurious spa with aire baths and massages.
2. Do a staycation at the Williamsburg Hotel. Gorgeous views, clawfoot tubs, and room service… need I say more?
3. Have cocktails at a speakeasy. It’s a more intimate setting and very cozy. Some of my faves are Employees Only, Please Don’t Tell and Bathtub Gin.
For literally anyone and their Mother…
Let’s face it, you could be doing things with a group of couples or a group of singles this Valentine’s Day. It shouldn’t matter whether or not you’re in a relationship! So here are more of my activity related items because I felt I couldn’t put them into a designated category of single vs. wifed up.
1. Take a cooking class with your S.O. or a group of friends! This is something I really want to try. Some spots I know of are Aunt Jakes Pasta Lab, Milk Bar, and City Cooking.
2. Go to Comedy Cellar. A night full of laughs but definitely email for reservations beforehand!
3. Catch the Magician at the Nomad Hotel. A coworker recently went and said it was phenomenal and it would be great for the occasion. A little pricier but worth it!
4. Play some games and listen to music at Fat Cats or The Royal Palms in Brooklyn. Because who doesn’t love a good game of skee ball?
