Happy Thursday y’all and Happy May! Can we believe a FULL month has passed that we spent in quarantine?! It’s absolutely crazy to think about. Today on a work Zoom it was brought to my attention that we’re on day 57 working remote. That’s CRAZY. Anywhoo, using today’s post to round up the five favorite beauty products I tried throughout April.
April was a fun month beauty testing-wise because I had quite literally nothing better to do (other than wash my face constantly, sit in the backyard or work out). Once I got to Houston end-of-March, I decided to step up my routine and look into trying more hair products (which I talked about in last month’s round up here). Like I’ve said before, trying new beauty products is always so fun for me – primarily once it’s a great result. I did try a few duds within the month that I may get the courage to share later, but for now let’s focus on the winners!
As always, if you have anything you’d like for me to try definitely let me know! If you like any of these items would love to hear. Have a great day and thanks for reading!
1. Skin Ceuticals CE Ferulic. At the end of March I asked for Vitamin C reco’s and my mom gave me a Skin Ceuticals serum and WOW, this is the real deal. I’ve been using for over a month and it’s super potent, but it’s drastically help reduce redness and brighten skin for an overall glow. Obsessed! Like I said, it’s a serum so a little goes a long way and it’s rather pungent but it’s worth the hefty price tag. You won’t regret it!
2. Dae Deep Conditioning Treatment. This was in my Sephora order from the spring sale and it’s such a winner! It smells like candy is deeply conditions so that hair is silky smooth. I didn’t even have to add in my leave-in conditioner after the first time I tried it!
3. TULA’s Makeup Melt. I wasn’t using this much since I wasn’t applying makeup but the few days I did I was shocked at how well this works as a makeup remover. It’s a stick balm with good-for-you ingredients that gets even the most stubborn makeup off in one swoop (including mascara/longwear eyeliner!). I have a 15% off code for TULA’s site using KAYLEIGHSKLOSET at check out.
4. Fenty Killawatt Highlighter. So I broke into my mom’s makeup stash and snatched this highlighter and it gives such a killer glow. In my second order from Sephora I just had to get it – it has two sides/shades so you can mix and match to suit an everyday look or night out.
5. e.l.f. Hydrating Under Eye Concealer. THREE WORDS: UNDER SIX DOLLARS. I grabbed this concealer at Target after I realized I didn’t bring one home and it is DOPE. It’s easy to wear all day without caking or cracking, and the application is so smooth. I seriously can’t get over how it’s literally $5.99. MUST GET NOW AND KEEP FOREVER AND EVER.
