Happy Monday y’all and what a weekend it was indeed! I am back in my city after a week in Texas and I’m so happy to be back. The energy is so electric and hopeful and it’s reminding me why I chose to live in New York and why I love this city so much. In honor of such a groundbreaking weekend, I’ve decided that this week I’m going to something every single day to reward myself that makes me happy. Today I’m keeping it simple with a Trader Joe’s run (ya girls fridge is empty), but I also plan to go on and get a mani/pedi, potentially get my hair blown out at Dry Bar, dinner with a friend, etc. I also have Friday off and am making it a content day where I plan to knock out quite a bit of my “iconic” New York shots that I’ve wanted since quarantine hit (primarily in Midtown/uptown). Being away from the city always reminds me that I need to embrace it more and it’s a week to celebrate! I will say, however, that I can always count on time in Houston grounding me and bringing back my sanity.
With the holidays approaching earlier this year (due to everyone just wanting the season to be brighter) I wanted to take today’s post to share details on my holiday finds and launch my Holiday Guide category on the blog. I asked y’all last week what you planned to shop for and what you wanted to see and I’m so glad I did because y’all want to see a ton of things I never would’ve guessed to post LOL (like in-law gifts, gifts for recent relationships, etc.). This year, I plan to update my Holiday Guide page on the blog on an ongoing basis, but I also will be including a plethora of categories for every occasion over on my Amazon page. Amazon has prevailed in 2020 and it’s seriously the one-stop shop for anyone possible on your list with the fast shipping! You can check over there daily and I’m going to start sharing deals on my stories as the holiday season approaches.
A friendly reminder that purchasing through my blog and/or Amazon page results in a small commission on my end for helping you find the item – you don’t pay ANYTHING extra, but I will receive a small perfect from the sale (trust me, they usually don’t even balance out to $1 LOL). Any opportunity I have to help y’all find what you’re looking for or make shopping an easier experience is so rewarding! Remember as you go into the holiday season this year to support your favorite bloggers (particularly the ones that do this full time to pay the bills!) and shop through their links! It’s been a rough year and the blogging industry took a significant hit and while I’m grateful to still have the corporate world that my 9-5 is, I’m also grateful for this extra source of income especially right now.
If there’s anything specific you’d like me to cover this holiday season, definitely let me know! Have a great day y’all and thanks for reading!
