So excited to be sharing the first wedding-related blog post now that we are moving & grooving with planning. I recently sent out all of my bridesmaids proposal boxes and wanted to round up everything I included in one place for fellow brides looking for inspiration. A few things first:
When it comes to researching bridesmaids proposal boxes/ideas, there are SO many things out there that can fit your feel & budget. You don’t have to go overboard to have a nice gesture for your gals. Something I was loving/debated doing was customized flower wrapping paper to wrap individual bouquets that say “will you be my bridesmaid.” Simple & perfect (if you live close to your gals) because you can add personal touches/photos. They also have pre-made boxes to make the decision process easier re: contents of the box.
I wanted to be very intentional with the box contents to include some of my favorite things and things I felt my girls would love. The more I started to pick things out, the more overboard I started going (Aquarius energy). The final box ended with a mix of my favorite things & things that are universal to fit everyone and I tried to focus on things that could get used (like beauty products & swedish candy) vs. things that may just clutter.
So with all that being said, let’s dive into the details of the box & what I included.
The box was an Amazon find and I loved that it had the window + magnetic closure and it also came with a ribbon to tie it with a bow. The sizing ended up working perfectly for all of the box contents even though I had to play a form of tetris to fit everything. Crinkle Paper made the most sense but since all of these were being shipped I wrapped things individually with tissue paper/bubble wrap and sealed with different variations of I love NY stickers.
The customized proposal cards are possibly my favorite thing in the entire box & they were an Etsy find that was under $10. Once I purchased, they sent instructions to download the template so that I could adjust the name + colors to fit what I needed. I loved them so much and am still eyeing my backup favorite template for something else.
The content of the box:
Beauty products: A mini Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask, Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm in Pink Sugar, Pinch Provisions Ice Roller & Wine Towelettes, Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick & a Cheek to Chic Blush, and essie Nail Polish in Gilded Galaxy – the perfect neutral chrome look.
Additional items: Swedish candy from Bon Bon in reusable plastic containers, a wrapped disposable camera with hearts on it, two match boxes with a silver & pink foil disco ball on them, a pinky/peach champagne glass (comes in a set of four so I was able to split across everyone), St. Germain (for Hugo Spritzes), gold Bottega dupe earrings, a Prosecco candle from Sol & an I love NY bottle opener.
